Adam Sandler is heading over to “Kevin Can Wait,” Variety has learned.

Sandler will guest star in the episode, titled “Who’s Better Than Us?,” airing next week on Nov. 7 at 8 p.m.

Years ago, Sandler also guest starred on Kevin James‘ former CBS hit “The King of Queens.” The duo has co-starred in many comedy films, including “I Now Pronounce You Chuck & Larry” and the “Grown Ups” movies.

In the “Kevin Can Wait” episode, Kevin (James) gets jealous when he hears how happy his former patrol partner is with his fit, new rookie Nick, and sets out to show his old friend what he’s missing. Sandler will play his former partner. The role of Nick will be played by former UFC middleweight champion Chris Weidman, who is also guest starring.

Today, news broke that “Kevin Can Wait” showrunner and co-creator Bruce Helford is exiting the series with Rob Long stepping into the showrunner role. The comedy has already landed a full season renewal, bringing Season 1 to a total of 22 episodes.
