CBS is developing yet another show with “The Good Wife” creators Robert and Michelle KingVariety has learned.

The untitled project, which hails from “Miss Congeniality” writer Marc Lawrence, has been put into development with a script deal. The Kings are on board as executive producers, along with Liz Glotzer who runs their production company.

The single-camera comedy is about an extremely non-confrontational single mom who is promoted to Dean of Students at the high school where she teaches and must contend with overly-involved parents, demanding administrators and a challenging student body — which includes her two teenagers.

Lawrence, an alum of “Family Ties,” has largely spent the past two decades in film. He co-wrote Sandra Bullock’s hit flick “Miss Congeniality” and the sequel “Miss Congeniality 2.” He also wrote and directed many rom-coms, including “2 Weeks Notice,” which starred Bullock and Hugh Grant; “Music and Lyrics,” which starred Grant and Drew Barrymore; and “The Rewrite” with Grant. He also has ties with CBS, as he developed a comedy with the network in the early 2000’s, plus was behind the “Bewitched” remake that landed at the net, but never made it to air. A few years back, he was developing a Meg Ryan vehicle at NBC. He is repped by UTA.

The Kings are executive producing “The Good Wife” spinoff, “The Good Fight,” which is debuting on CBS All Access in February. The digital series just began production in late October.

Following “Good Wife’s” seven-year run, the Kings had another series on CBS, “BrainDead,” which struggled to find an audience and was cancelled after one season that ran this summer. Should this comedy get greenlit, the duo would then have a show on CBS network on All Access. The Kings are repped by Paradigm.
