Terry Jones' Bafta Cymru award 'hugely deserved', says Palin

Monty Python's Terry Jones' Bafta Cymru recognition is "hugely deserved", his former co-star Michael Palin has said.

Mr Jones, who was born in Colwyn Bay, Conwy, who announced he has a severe form of dementia, will get an outstanding contribution award.

He has been diagnosed with primary progressive aphasia, a variant of frontotemporal dementia, which affects his ability to speak.

His award will be presented by Palin, who will speak of his career highlights, and will be accepted by his son.
