Scarlett Johansson is the only woman in the top ten list of highest-grossing movie stars of all time, according to the website Box Office Mojo.

It has ranked actors according to the amount of money their movies have collectively grossed.

Harrison Ford tops the list with 41 films made grossing $4.9bn (£3.6bn).

Scarlett has made 37 movies, including being part of the successful Avengers franchise, which grossed over $3.3bn (£2.46bn) in the US.

The 31 year-old is also the youngest in the top 10.

As well as the five Avengers movies, as Natasha Romanoff, or Black Widow, Scarlett also voiced Kaa in The Jungle Book and starred in Hail, Caesar! earlier this year.

The actress recently spoke about the gender wage gap in Hollywood, telling Cosmopolitan, "There's something icky about me having that conversation unless it applies to a greater whole.

"I am very fortunate, I make a really good living, and I'm proud to be an actress who's making as much as many of my male peers at this stage... I think every woman has [been underpaid], but unless I'm addressing it as a larger problem, for me to talk about my own personal experience with it feels a little obnoxious.

"It's part of a larger conversation about feminism in general."

Cameron Diaz was the next actress in the list, ranking high in terms of box office success.

At number 19, the 43-year-old's movies have collected $3bn (£2bn) at the box office.
