Malta haul out and boat works

We are looking for a boat yard in Malta where we could haul out our 48'ketch for winter and have various jobs done.
They include:
Re-chalking Teak deck
Installing new engine
Fabricating SS davits for solar and dingy lift
Fabricating hard dodger
Converting space in head for enclosed shower( fibreglass work)
And other things on the list

Any members around who had works done in Malta ( or Sicily ) wishing to share their experience?

Re: Malta haul out and boat works

Hi, I know Malta but have not been since 4 years, things might have changed.
Hulling out was possible at manoel island boat yard (in town), or the old harbour, both expensive, people did tend to cross to Sicily to hull out.
Appart from haul out Malta is a pretty good place to do works. Shipchandlers are probably the cheapest in Europe, lot of stock.
For any welding (aluminium or stainless) try to get Mario Elul, friendly, honest, cheap and qualified (works for plane industry).
Being in Malta is very pleasant, good and cheap Italian food, planes to european towns if needed, ...
