U2’s “The Joshua Tree” could have been a longer — or different — album.
The band recorded several songs during sessions for the landmark 1987 album. Many were heard as B-sides to U2 singles.

The tunes have since been compiled on a greatest hits collection, “The Best of 1980-1990,” as well as on the 20th anniversary deluxe edition of “The Joshua Tree.” They can also be found on iTunes and Spotify.
Here are the seven tracks.
1. “Luminous Times (Hold On To Love):” Originally released as a B-side to the “With Or Without You” single.
2. “Walk to the Water:” A B-side to “With Or Without You.”
3. “Spanish Eyes:” A B-side to “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”
4. “Deep In The Heart:” A B-side to “I Still Haven’t Found What I’m Looking For.”
5. “Race Against Time:” A B-side to “Where the Streets Have No Name.”
6. “Silver and Gold:” A B-side to “Where the Streets Have No Name.”
7. “Sweetest Thing:” A B-side to “Where the Streets Have No Name.” A re-recorded version of the song was later released on “The Best of 1980-1990” in 1998.
