Facebook was accused of censoring history by refusing to publish one of the most enduring images of the Vietnam War.

The prime minister of Norway joined a global campaign against the social network yesterday by posting on Facebook the 1972 picture of a naked girl fleeing a napalm attack. Erna Solberg was protesting against Facebook’s decision to ban a Norwegian author after he published the image. “I support a healthy, open and free debate. But I say no to this type of censorship,” she wrote. Facebook routinely removes pictures of naked children.
